Worked for the NSW Government for 38 years. (Public Service).
For services rendered to the Crown he was awarded the Imperial Services Medal which was presented to him by the Governor of NSW Sir Roden Cutler on the 24th November 1961
Passed away on 18th September 1979 at Tewantin Queensland Aust

Private A. A. Cunynghame, who was one of the few men mentioned in orders by General Birdwood, is the second son of Mr. C. W. Cunynghame, of Oberon. Private Cunynghame was the first recruit to go from Oberon, in the early stages of the war, and took part in the historic landing at Gallipoli.
