Arthur Kingston Rosenthal, son of Mr and Mrs W.G. Rosenthal, of Manly, whose death has resulted from typhoid while in hospital at Alexandria, was a well known footballer and swimmer, and possessed a fine record for saving life, holding the bronze, silver and gold medals of the Royal Humane Society. On one occasion he dived off the upper deck of a Manly steamer to the rescue of a woman. At football he represented New South Wales in the Rugby Union game. He was 33 years of age.
